CHRISTMAS SHOOT

February 25th & 26th January 06, the cost of the Xmas shoot will be $20.00 / day or $45.00 for both days, dinner and breakfast for financial members, $30.00 / day or $55.00 for both days, dinner and breakfast for non-members.

SKILL AT ARMS
The weekend will start at around 1000hrs on the Saturday. But you can come along on the Friday night if you prefer. The clubrooms are out of bounds for sleeping in except for the Ladies and young children. This will first have to be cleared though Dale Jenner 07 8435161. This is as it belongs to the owner of the farm who built it and uses it himself. Please respect this.
Therefore you will need to bring your own sort of accommodation to suit yourself. There will be space for tents etc.
Waikato rifles will be providing the evening meal and breakfast for the two-day shooters. You will need to bring all other types of refreshments and utensils.
There will of course be a few drinks in the evening but this will not start until all the shooting is complete and the firearms are secured. This means that if you retire from the shooting for the day it does not mean you can start drinking. There will be a new part to the range forms that will need to be signed. . There will be no exceptions!

THINGS TO BRING

1) Tents
2) Suitable footwear
3) Firearms licenses to be shown
4) Wet weather gear
5) Hats
6) Suntan lotion
7) Lots and lots of fluids.
8) Utensils and plates
9) Food as necessary.
10) Fresh change of clothing
11) Anything else you can think of!
12) Rest for sighting in something to lay prone on.
12) Gas masks
13) Webbing
14) Lots of ammo

THE SHOOTS.

1) The shoot will be based on a Military Skill at arms test.
2) Aims are to test shooters skills over two days with different disciplines
3) All tests to be based on normal shoots carried out by the club.
4) Participants will be split in half for the two days of the tests. One group will be going though tests on the main range with things like 3 positions shoot, Advancing shoot, Le Mans etc. The other group will go though a variation of the jungle lane and house clearance. This will run alongside the sniper shoot, clay shoot and tin can shoots that will keep this group busy while others go though the house clearance and jungle lanes. These will also be scored.
5) The aim is to come up with a champion of the club.
6) In the field tests you will be scored on camo, use of cover, targets hit or missed good use of ammo, etc.
7) In the range shoots you will be scored in order of points or winner on the day.
8) You will need a selection of firearms for the types of shoots; some thing for the field shoots some thing for the range shoots something for the sniper shoots and your shotguns. I would recommend something you can use for most shoots.
9) Once you set off though the field shoots there will be no going back so think webbing and ammo.
10) Any questions phone me on 07 838 0995.
